  1. During the summer of 2023, in addition to the usual competition for the most humorous and/or most unique videos, the Producers of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (“Producer”) will sponsor a separate sweepstakes and give away a separate prize, of ten (10) limited edition AFV Beach Towels (“Prize”) per week beginning May 29, 2023, 12:00am ET (midnight) to September, 10, 2023, 11:59pm ET
  2. The entry period for the sweepstakes is from May 29, 2023, 12:00am ET (midnight) to September, 10, 2023, 11:59pm ET.   The sweepstakes entry period and deadline are subject to change without notice. Check back frequently at AFV.com for updates.
  3. Videos must be uploaded to AFV.com.
  4. At the end of each week, ten entries will be randomly selected to win the Prize. An additional ten runners-up will also be randomly selected at this time in the event the winners do not meet eligibility requirements. 
  5. Individuals may submit up to a total of 2 entries per week.  Any entries above 2 per week will be ineligible.  Producer’s decisions are final.
  6. Entrant must be 13 years of age or older as of the date of entry.  Written parental consent will be required for persons under 18 (or who are not the age of majority in their state of domicile) for their entries to be eligible.
  7. Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United Sates and D.C. and Canada, excluding Quebec, and to active members of the United States Armed Forces who are deployed (excluding the geographical areas listed below) and their and their immediate family members residing with them.  Void in Quebec, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and other U.S. territories and possessions.
  8. Employees of Producer, Cara Communications Corporation, d/b/a Vin Di Bona Productions, American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (“ABC”), each of their respective parent, subsidiary, and affiliated companies, and anyone involved in the production of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” or the administration of the sweepstakes, as well as the immediate family members and same household members of any of the foregoing individuals are not eligible to enter or to win any prize awards. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses, regardless of where they live.  “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three (3) non-consecutive months a year, whether related or not.  No purchase necessary.  Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  9. All video entries for the summer sweepstakes must meet the eligibility requirements of the regular weekly “America’s Funniest Home Videos” contest, including providing Producer with fully signed releases and all other documentation which may be required by Producer.  For complete AFV contest rules and eligibility requirements, log on to AFV.com, write Vin Di Bona Productions, P.O. Box 4333, Hollywood, CA 90078, or visit:  https://www.afv.com/contest-rules.  All potential winning Entrants will be notified by email and must submit releases and documentation within 14 days of notification or the Prize will be forfeited.  If the Entrant chosen as the potential winner at the time of random selection does not meet the eligibility requirements, the Prize will be awarded to the runner-up, who must meet the same eligibility requirements.  If neither potential winner nor runner-up meets the eligibility requirements, the Prize will not be awarded.
  10. All eligible summer sweepstakes entries by video, including the summer sweepstakes winners (if applicable), will remain eligible for the regular weekly contests on “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”  Except as modified by or inconsistent with this Attachment B, the AFV Official Contest Rules shall apply.
  11. Once the summer sweepstakes have ended, video entries will thereafter be judged by the regular weekly contest criteria as set forth in the Official Contest Rules.  All video entries are equally evaluated for the regular weekly contest.  Summer sweepstakes video-entry winners do not have a greater or lesser probability of being broadcast or chosen as a finalist in the regular weekly contests. 
  12. Entrant (and, any person appearing in a video entry) must not be a candidate for public office and not become such a candidate for eighteen (18) months from the date Entrant submits the Home Video Exclusive Release and Personal Release to Producer.
  13. If the randomly-selected winner is a Canadian resident, he/she must correctly answer an unaided mathematical skill-testing question by phone or mail in order to win.
  14. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.  
  15. By entering, Entrant grants Producer, ABC and each of their respective licensees and assigns the right to use his/her name, voice, likeness, biographical information and performance for programming, advertising, and promotional purposes, in any manner in any media and/or technologies now known or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity without further compensation.  However, Producer and ABC shall not have any obligation to film, use or air Entrant’s appearance and any such use shall be in Producer’s sole discretion.
  16. All video submissions become the sole property of Producer and may be used in any manner in any and all media and/or technologies now known or hereafter devised throughout the universe in perpetuity.  Neither Producer nor ABC is responsible for lost, damaged or misdirected entries under any circumstances.  Producer and ABC are not responsible for Internet system and hardware failures, delayed, incomplete or unsuccessful transmission of a video, an entry or entry information, technical malfunctions of any kind, human error, information loss and downtime, or any costs, losses, liability or damages resulting from any such failures.
  17. By entering, all sweepstakes Entrants hereby release, discharge and hold harmless Producer, its affiliates, employees, officers, principals, members, partners, and directors, licensees, grantees, successors and assignees, the programs’ broadcasters, ABC, each of their respective parent, subsidiary, related and affiliated entities, and the respective officers, directors, employees, principals, members, partners and representatives of any of the foregoing (collectively, "Releasees") from and against any and all claims, whether at law or in equity, that Entrant may have at any time (whether or not Entrant is aware of any such claims) arising out of or related to participation in the sweepstakes, including, without limitation, claims for breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, defamation, false light, common law or statutory misappropriation, invasion or other violations of any actual or purported right of privacy and/or publicity, and claims under equivalent federal or state laws arising from my submission of a video or sweepstakes entry to Producer and any exploitation of any or all of the rights granted to Producer, including, without limitation, the rights to the video (collectively, the “Released Claims”).  The Released Claims shall include, without limitation, any claim relating to, arising from or in connection with: (i) any use, exploitation or exercise of any right(s) granted; (ii) any contest (including videos remaining eligible for the regular “America’s Funniest Home Video” contests) and/or sweepstakes and/or the operation and/or procedures implemented in connection with any such contest and/or sweepstakes, or relating to Entrant’s participation in the sweepstakes, including without limitation, contest rules, voting procedures, contestant and voter eligibility, determinations of the judges, audiences and/or producers, selection of winners, the awarding of any prize and/or Entrant’s acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of the Prize, disqualification decisions, any prior or disparate exposure of a video or other videos competing for any award or prize, and any and all other matters in connection with any contest and/or sweepstakes, and (iii) for all entries by the submission of a video, for entry into the regular “America’s Funniest Home Videos” contests, the release of all claims required in connection with the rules for the regular “America’s Funniest Home Videos” contests.
